As part of the “Strengthening Rural Development in Lebanon” project funded by the Spanish Cooperation and implemented by the René Moawad Foundation in partnership with the Fundación Promoción Social, we delivered a 36-hour Cooperative Management Training programme over six days to strengthen the capacities of local cooperatives. The programme supported a cooperative in Bcharre and a Union representing 14 cooperatives in Deir Al Ahmar, combining practical and participatory learning with a strong focus on cooperative governance, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency. By strengthening key management skills and practices, the training aimed to help participating cooperatives operate more effectively, build long-term sustainability, and better serve their members and communities.
