Sous Pastry Chef – Naccache – Ref: ARSPC 250307
A new American-style bakery and coffee shop set to open in Naccache is seeking a skilled and dependable Sous Pastry Chef to assist the Head Pastry Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. The bakery will specialize in cheesecakes, cookies, and other classic American baked goods, offering a fresh and inviting customer experience in combination with a cozy café environment.
This role is ideal for a pastry professional looking to take on a leadership position within a creative and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of baked goods including cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, and muffins
Supervise and guide kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef
Assist in developing and testing new recipes that align with the bakery’s American-style concept
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Oversee ingredient preparation, portion control, and inventory as delegated
Contribute to maintaining consistency in quality and presentation across all products
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a pastry or bakery kitchen, preferably with exposure to American desserts
Strong working knowledge of baking techniques, with hands-on experience in preparing cheesecakes, cookies, and similar products
Leadership skills with the ability to effectively support and manage kitchen staff
Detail-oriented with a commitment to product quality and consistency
Fluency in Arabic, with working proficiency in French and/or English
Formal pastry education or culinary certification is an asset
Work Conditions:
